To meet this need, we engineered a decoupled ecosystem based on Drupal and Next.js that can reflect the attention to detail of the collections in every market. Our designed architecture ensures data centralization through PIM integration, guaranteeing excellent performance and smooth governance on an international scale.

The strategy: evolution towards a Headless architecture
To overcome the flexibility constraints of the legacy structure, Bmeme engineered a transition to the Decoupled paradigm.
We orchestrated an API-first architecture with Drupal as the content management engine and Next.js for the frontend. This separation allowed for the seamless integration of external services (Algolia, PIM, configurators) while offering total creative freedom and top-tier loading speeds.

We integrated Algolia to ensure an immediate and fluid search experience. This allows users to access collection content instantly, eliminating wait times and reflecting—even in digital interaction—the efficiency and prestige typical of the brand.

We developed custom tools within the Drupal backend to allow editors to visually manage product ordering. This feature enables the marketing team to curate gallery layouts with sartorial precision, reflecting commercial and stylistic priorities without rigid technical constraints.
